Summary: Solid 4 stars. Checkin, communications were all excellent. The provided guide was very thorough and incredibly helpful. Unit was spacious and comfortable for our 5 person group (family of 4 with kids traveling with grandma). Kitchen well equipped and lots of toiletries. But, the house was older than anticipated, lots of stairs (3 floors within unit) and cramped ceilings/doorways, odd extra spaces that weren’t usable (prob converted apartments that kept old kitchens and closets), and pretty far from the subway. Yes, the bus is close but we’re traveling and need to cut down on travel time so we can explore the city. In a suburban part of Shinjuku so it’s not walkable to a lot of food. We ended up taking taxis everywhere which ended up being expensive. Also, very noisy at nighttime because of busy intersection and old single pane windows. We needed white noise or earplugs to sleep. Overall, comfortable but not as luxe as we had hoped given the photos and description so set your expectations appropriately.
