Summary: Cute house within walking distance of bus stops and train stations. Convenience stores, laundromat and restaurants all close by. While there is a washing machine, there is no dryer. You need to hang up clothes to air dry or, in our case, go across the street to laundromat and for 100 yen use the dryer. There was no hot water in the kitchen so we just used the tea kettle to boil water and wash. Beds super comfortable. Wonderful to have 2 toilets that were heated bidets. 2 shower rooms back to back but private. There were a lot of towels and house was well stocked with TP, tissues, etc. I gave 4 stars for the check in process and communication with property manager because no fault to him but VRBO did not sync well with Rakuten, a Japanese listing company who has paired with VRBO. Apparently, property manager was communicating through Rakuten and us through VRBO and we couldn't access each other's emails. We ended up having to share our personal phone numbers and email addresses to communicate with each other. For this reason, I couldn't give 5 stars across the board. Homeowner did not speak English but he did have an adequate translator. Edogawa is convenient to the other wards in Tokyo and we would come back for another stay.
